Ashley chats with Rachna about education and the art of teaching with a special focus on STEM. She shares how life sometimes has a way of pivoting our careers for us-landing us exactly where we belong.

Rachna’s Bio: I am an Artist, an Engineer, a Teacher, a Tinkerer, a Mother, a Dreamer… a Lifelong Learner. I am curious about the multiverse, love to play with tech toys, and constantly think about how kids today will shape the future of AI. My Mission: To nurture every child’s natural curiosity to understand the world around them and discover their “Inner STEMologist”! With a special focus on underserved communities. I am a STEMologist and a STEMpreneur.

My journey and love of tech & teaching began at ASU with my first job as a freshman teaching coding to university students. After my MS in Computer Science, I spent an exciting decade as a Software Engineer & Product Marketing Engineer at Intel writing challenging algorithms, architecting my own software, and eventually completing my journey in marketing. For several years after leaving Intel, I helped small education and performance arts companies both in teaching and in their software needs.

In January 2019, I launched my own Ed-Tech company, STEMology Club, where I started with teaching coding, circuits, robotics, and AI for K-6 as well as designing a training course for Arizona State University graduating teachers.
