interview episode with guest, Rachael Shaw! Dancer & choreographer (oh and editor) turned web developer.
Rachael’s Bio: Hi New Friends! I’m Rachael. A maker at heart, my professional life has traversed through a wide range of fields and roles. Currently, I’m a newly-minted front-end software developer, where I get to make the user interfaces for an app in the healthcare industry. Even though software development is a new professional interest, my fascination with making in programming started much younger. When I was 10, my dad, a controls engineer, brought home a Commodore 64. It was the first computer my brother and I had access to. When my dad showed me the book on BASIC programming, I was obsessed. I went on to create my own programs: an astrology program and the beginnings of my own text-based adventure game.
What happened in the intervening years? (You may wonder.) My circuitous path took me through arts, education, publishing, and even aerial arts, all the while creating and making.
